R CrB

 The prototype RCB star, the whole cycle can be followed with a 20cm telescope.  Probably one of the most observed variable stars in the entire night sky!  The current fading (2007-) is the deepest since the prolonged fades during the mid-1960's, and the longest uninterrupted minimum on record.
