This light curve was initially thought to be that of the UG star V1316 Cyg, discovered by Bruch in 1988.  However it has recently (September 2000) been established by Bruce Sumner, that V1316 Cyg is a 17th magnitude star lying extremely close to a magnitude 14.8 field star originally identified as V1316 Cyg. The light curve above therfeore represents variability in this field star, rather than in V1316 Cyg at minimum!
