Transit of Mercury - May 7th 2003
Here are a couple of images I took of the Mercury Transit on 7th May 2003. I stopped down the 22cm dobsonian reflector to 5cm, which gave an effective f ratio of f22. The photographs were taken through a 26cm plossl eyepiece with a hand held Fuji Finepix S602 digital camera on auto settings, using Baader Solar Screen. The images were tidied up with PSP 7.
