TAV 1831+19 - NSV 24505

One of Mike Collins Variables.  During the early days it was unclear as to which of two close stars was actually the variable.  Both stars were observed during the period 1991-1993 to determine which was the variable star discovered by Collins.  Even from this short time period it became obvious that the Northern of the two stars did indeed vary in brightness, whilst the Southern one was virtually constant just below mag 13. Now designated NSV 24505, the variable looks to be an SR star with a period of around 163 days.
